Jeremiah F. O'Connor, Principal and Founder
Jeremiah F. O'Connor is a Principal and founder. He has a varied career with both public and private service components. He has held public office on local, county and state levels in New Jersey, founded three New Jersey banks, and has served as a senior officer with a major private corporation. At NW Financial Group, Mr. O'Connor spearheads new business activity.
Mr. O'Connor was most recently a Managing Director of NatWest Bank where he was responsible for utility and municipal finance. Prior to joining NatWest, Mr. O'Connor was Commissioner of the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities which regulates all power, communication, water and cable utilities in the State. Mr. O'Connor has been involved in billions of dollars of utility finance in his role as a Commissioner of the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities.
During his 40 year career, both in the public and private sector, he has served as Vice President of Finance and Planning for Bell & Howell Corporation, and in the public sector has served in a variety of local, county and state offices in the State of New Jersey, including State Senator, and a member of the New Jersey Local Finance Board. Mr. O'Connor is a founder of Interchange State Bank of New Jersey, New Jersey Bank for Savings, and Bridgeview Bank.
Mr. O'Connor received his Bachelor of Economics and Finance degree from Iona College.
