James R. Boytano joined NW Financial in July of 2009 as an Analyst performing duties to assist in all areas of NW Financial’s operations. He has participated in Financial Advisory work for several clients including the Borough of Fort Lee, NJ, North Hudson Sewerage Authority, Hudson County Improvement Authority, and the NJ Turnpike Authority among others. James also assists members of the trading desk by performing various day to day tasks associated with the trading and underwriting of municipal securities. In addition, he has also had experience in NW’s marketing department. In fulfilling each of these roles, James proficiently uses software such as Microsoft Excel, DBC Finance, and Bloomberg. He is also skilled in using trading platforms such as Municenter and Knight Bondpoint, as well as Southwest Securities clearing software. James’ exposure to the different areas of the Public Finance industry through each role has enabled him to contribute to the firm’s success in a variety of ways.

Prior to joining NW Financial, James served as an intern in the Audit practice at Ernst and Young, LLP in Iselin, New Jersey. As an intern, he was responsible for working to assist in the auditing of several clients. Most notably, he was a member of the auditing team for the Wireless and Business divisions of Verizon Communications Inc., one of Ernst and Young’s largest accounts. Prior to his internship, James worked as a caddie and assistant starter at Beacon Hill Country Club in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey from 2000 to 2008.
